01. about
I build software that scales.
Systems that hold up under real load, not just in a demo. I'm a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, where I build large-scale, AI-driven detection systems that protect cloud infrastructure relied on by businesses, healthcare providers, financial institutions, and government agencies. I'm also finishing a Master's in Computer Science with a concentration in Machine Learning and AI at UT Austin, and I hold a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Texas Southern University's Thomas F. Freeman Honors College.
AI is the part I'm leaning hardest into right now. Outside of my day job, I'm designing and building an agentic automation platform - a reusable core (an agent that reasons and acts, a deterministic workflow layer for repeatable patterns, and an integration layer that fronts real tools and services) that new capabilities can plug into instead of each reinventing the same plumbing. It is very much a work in progress, but it is exactly the kind of systems-level thinking I want to spend more of my time on. I also run myself through a self-directed roadmap of build-from-scratch systems - real-time communication, distributed state, transactional consistency, high-scale read paths - treating each one like a product I own end to end: requirements, API contracts, design, implementation, deploy.
The common thread is the same one that got me into this in the first place: an attacker only has to succeed once, a defender has to be right every time, and most interesting engineering problems are really just that asymmetry wearing a different costume. I write about it, judge a couple of industry awards programs, and mentor engineers coming up in the field, because the more of us building this well, the better it works for everyone.

Projects
Threat Sage
AI-driven threat detection platform that reduced detection time by 35%, voted People's Choice by fellow hackathon participants.
Agentic Automation Platform
A reusable automation core - an LLM-backed agent, a deterministic workflow layer, and an integration layer - that new capabilities build on top of instead of reimplementing. Architecture is written up and being built out incrementally.
